Mentorship in Action: Anunya Kapur Lights the Way for Future Women in Tech
From student to speaker—Oakville’s own Anunya Kapur has come full circle in her tech journey. This summer, she returned to the PointClickCare Early Tech Talent Incubator High School Program—not as a participant, but as a mentor and panelist.
The highlight of the program was the Mentorship Panel, hosted in collaboration with PointClickCare’s Engineering and Technology & Support Services teams. 💻 Joining fellow panelists Tahama Haseem, Maciek Sliwa, Matthew Mains, and Jasman Gill, Anunya shared:
✨ The exciting and diverse career paths available in STEM
✨ What industry leaders look for in future co-op and full-time hires
✨ Personal journeys—from co-op roles to full-time positions to management success stories
Her insights and energy left the audience of high school students inspired and motivated.
For Anunya, the moment was deeply personal. Just one year ago, she was a student in Empow<Her>+, PointClickCare’s early-stage tech talent incubator for young women in grades 11 and 12. The six-week program is designed to open doors to the world of software engineering, offering:
-
Hands-on experience with PointClickCare’s tech stacks and real engineering projects
Mentorship from accomplished women leaders in the tech industry
Networking opportunities through social events and workshops
Career exploration to help students assess if tech is the right path for them -
Early talent incubation to nurture future leaders in software engineering
-
A supportive, collaborative environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving beyond the classroom
Reflecting on her journey, Anunya shared:
“Honoured to have been a panelist for PointClickCare’s Summer 2025 High School Mentorship panel. As a member of last year’s high school cohort, it felt full circle to share takeaways from my time at PCC and pay it forward. Thank you to the Campus Team for putting together such an insightful, engaging initiative (and to the students for some fantastic questions)!!”
Her story is a testament to the power of early opportunities, mentorship, and the ripple effect of women empowering women in tech.
